School Site Council (SSC)

Pursuant to California Education Code, every school with a County District School (CDS) code assigned by the California Department of Education (CDE) shall establish a SSC as the decision-making council for all programs funded through the Consolidated Application (ConApp).

SSC MEETS THE FIRST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 2:45PM

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Develop, review and adopt the SPSA

B. Respond in writing to ELAC’s written recommendations

C. Review at every meeting the school’s SPSA

D. Examine Data

E. Ensure federal Parent and Family Engagement mandates are met

F. Develop the Integrated Safe School Plan

G.Convene at least six (6) times per year

H. Adhere to the Greene Act as described by California Education Code

I. Maintain SSC documents in a secure location
